بعد أن ظهرت في متصفح الفايرفوكس ثغرة أمنية خطيرة تمهد الطريق للمخترقين للتسلسل إلى أجهزة مستخدميه وسرقة بياناتهم وربما أحداث الضرر بها، قامت موزيلا وقبل ساعات من الآن بإصدار تحديث أمني جديد للمتصفح قبل موعده الرسمي الذي حددت نهاية هذا الشهر، التحديث الجديد للمتصفح تم إصدارهُ لجميع أنظمة التشغيل الثلاثة ويندوز وماك وليونكس ويمكن تحميلهُ من هنا “Firefox 3.6.2” أو من خلال صفحة البحث عن التحديثات في قائمة المساعدة في نفس المتصفح.
موزيلا توصي جميع مستخدمي متصفحها بنسختيه 3.0 و 3.5 لترقية متصفحهم إلى نسخته الجديد حرصاً على سلامة أجهزتهم من التعرض للاختراق وانتشار الفيروسات والبرمجيات الخبيثة فيه.
